Black Cherry... mmmmmm!

Wanted to give you a sneak peak of the new winter collection!
The inspiration...black cherry!
Getting a bunch ready to put up at the Shoppe in Gettysburg and will be listing them here soon!

Gearing up for the holidays ...

Wow!
The holiday craft season is about to kick into full gear, and before it does, I just wanted to stop and smell the roses... by making a list. Not of things i have to do, but of things that I am grateful for and happy about...

  • the unconditional love of my husband and pups
  • my loving, ridiculously supportive family
  • great friends
  • having a creative business that I love get to grow and enjoy everyday
I have plenty more to be thankful for, but I figured this was a good start!   So, now it's back to work!
Check back soon... I will be posting my schedule of shows for the season.

Why....

So, I've had a few emails asking why I haven't been painting.  I thought I'd share a photo montage of why... we are in the process of wrecking, I mean renovating our house!

I have been keeping photo diary of the process, which is beyond dirty!

Here we are in the kitchen with our nephew Slade getting ready to knock down some walls.  These walls used to house the full bath. I am inside the old bathroom, while my husband pretends to hammer drill my head! So romantic!

Here we stand victorious on the rubble pile after we tore down those walls.

Unfortunately we had to haul the rubble outside later, we don't have the photos of us victorious after that, because we were beat! (Our dog Guisseppe is in the back trying to figure out what the heck is going on!)

This weekend my folks came down to finish the demo and refurbish the stone wall that will be the focal point of our kitchen.  We first tore down the ceiling, so gross, and then got started cleaning the stone face.

My mom with the hammer drill showing that wall who's boss!

Anyway, the renovations create too much dust and  make paintings difficult to keep clean right now.  Once we're finished, I'm sure I'll get back into the painting groove!

Ahhh... remember when I used to paint.....

...me too!

But since I haven't been painting lately, I like to live vicariously through my friend Alison Spain...
Here she is working on a colossal painting in the studio.

Keep away the fall blues...

...with these adorable mini planters!
Each planter comes with tiny succulents.
They are super easy to take care of and are sure to make you smile.

This one you can mount on the wall!
(It has sticky velcro on the back!)

Who's in Your Micro-Economy? #6

One of the best things about living in Baltimore is being able to walk down the street, in any direction, and have your pick of several good bars.  Another is being in close proximity to fantastic eateries.  One of our favorites is Woodberry Kitchen.  They specialize in farm to table fare and do it with amazing flavors and what I consider "stick to your ribs"  comfort food.
